Q: What is a FAQ?
A: FAQ is an acronym for "frequently asked questions."
Q: What happens if I break my favourite necklace / bracelet or lose an earring? A: If the worst happens just pick up the pieces, pop them in a bag, then post back to me (enclosing a stamped addressed envelope) and I'll restring it and post it back! If there are quite a few missing beads a small charge maybe made. With lost earrings, I will see if I can replicate another one, but some times I don't have the same beads that I mix with the ceramics so I may have to offer you a similar pair, that will be charged but I could make the single earring into a pendant that you could hang off a chain, ribbon, leather or something you choose!
Q: Why am I called Magpie & Butterfly? A: I love sparkly, twinkly, gorgeous things and I 'm a bit of a hoarder! Having Googled "Magpie Jewellery" and found quite a few I then had to decide on some thing else... Various options got banded around and then I decided on Butterfly as Vanessa comes from the latin for Red Admiral Butterfly.
Q: How do I care for my jewellery?
A: The ceramic pieces in my jewellery are generally very hard wearing, but it is best not to drop them as they may break or chip. I can usually create replacements to repair your piece for a small fee. If you chip a piece sometimes you can disguise this by colouring it in with a similar coloured felt tip pen then putting a dab of nail varnish to seal it!
Q: Are the findings sterling silver? A: All the earring hooks, crimp covers and heart toggle clasps are sterling silver
